InterKnowlogy was brought in to assess material risks around six of company’s assets in a multi-stakeholder project to improve its processes in line with the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) standards.
With InterKnowlogy’s support and using the Process Safety Management (PSM) approach for mitigating risks, the company was able to analyze 21 different risks across its assets and define critical controls performance criteria. As part of instilling a culture of ‘safety first’, workshops & training were also provided to over 300 employees to empower them to improve the resource giant’s PSM approach, Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) process and critical control management.
Today, the organization is able to boast that it has almost consistently been able to meet and beat the aforementioned targets over the past few years. The company continues to strive for excellence in its number one priority - the health, safety and wellbeing of its family – through a myriad of different initiatives.
